b) Lamp shape, symbol, and outline drawing.

Exception: Lamps having integral UV filters and containment barriers are able to be alternately marked: N/ j; p$ ?. b; g! h2 n# j( `
in accordance with 171.2.2 or 171.2.4." g* h: e. {7 V# @8 `% c
171.2.2 A portable luminaire intended for use with a medium base Type A style double envelope7 l* r2 W6 B( C) i6 [, v/ }
tungsten-halogen lamp or Type A incandescent lamp shall be marked in Form A-3 ²CAUTION:² ²Risk of1 j0 }' C. P" V' c" |2 v
Fire, Use _W Maximum, Type A or Medium Base Type A Style Double Envelope Tungsten Halogen Lamp4 V# G I/ r/ @6 B" n' Q3 L
That is Marked on the Bulb (Lamp) Carton as Being for use Without Additional Shield², or alternately

171.2.3 The lamp identified in 171.2.2 shall be:

b) Not exceed 100W and be rated in accordance with the Temperature Test-Exempt Units

halogen lamp that complies with the Exception to 52.2.1 or the Exception to 52.4.1 shall be marked in
# \, P8 k6 e) j9 @1 a6 [4 uForm A-3 with the word ²WARNING² or ²CAUTION: Risk of Fire and Exposure to Excessive UV Radiation9 w) L/ t+ k" k/ L( Z: p
– Use __W Maximum Double Envelope Tungsten Halogen Bulb (Lamp) That is Marked on the Lamp
