5.2.10 Luminaires provided with or designed for use with non-detachable flexible cables or 4 w8 |; o: A# U( W5 J
cords shall have a cord anchorage such that the conductors are relieved from strain, including ; m6 Z1 R' b4 ?+ m
twisting, where they are connected to the terminals, and such that their covering is protected $ u2 k7 f6 c# D
from abrasion. It shall be clear how the relief from strain and the prevention of twisting is 5 d2 q6 c" r/ ~. \+ W
intended to be effected. For luminaires supplied without a cable or cord, suitable test cables or % M O0 `! L! {# g H" g! f
cords of the largest and smallest sizes recommended by the luminaire manufacturer shall be

that the cable or cord is subjected to undue mechanical or thermal stress. Methods such as

Cord anchorage shall be of insulating material or be provided with a fixed insulating lining if an
