47.1 Surface marking is not required for appliance wiring material.7 {1 r! Z& Y5 W$ R; `
47.2 When surface marking referencing ²AWM² is used, the marking shall contain the following elements:
+ }. Z" q; F3 T7 Y7 y5 ea) Wire/cable designation: ²AWM.²
. W6 E0 g; Z9 A6 Ab) Name of the organization responsible for the AWM, trade name, other applicable mark, or
( `$ C% ^5 ~; J" y lfile number. When the organization responsible for the AWM produces AWM in more than one
; E- [ q L, R0 U3 c3 J$ b+ U2 ylocation, an additional distinctive marking shall be provided that identifies the specific! D% ~" |2 {+ E9 @: M5 o
manufacturing location of the AWM.
: N! j7 H1 E9 m! w8 lOther markings such as wire size, number of conductors, and similar data, are determined to be in
9 S" \7 _0 ~: v; x; Scompliance with this requirement when they are not confusing or misleading.
