EN71-1:2005 was amended recently by amendment A6:2008. The new amendments have

4.8 Points and metallic wires. p, m+ J- p4 }/ }( W
New requirement is added for metallic wires that are not designed to be bent but are likely1 z. V4 M* Y5 Q' `/ W. h0 H
to be bent accidentally or occasionally e.g. antennas on toys. It shall not break and1 S+ c9 N$ o- p" u$ S9 u/ h3 x
produce hazardous sharp points, or protrude through the toy cover, when tested by the
3 j& e% E& s6 _" u7 fflexibility test (8.13.3) for one cycle.

Objects intended for drinking e.g. tea set cups is subjected to the requirements due to the

8.6 Tip over test* Y8 y5 t0 o+ H5 C3 M4 s( b
Large and bulky toys shall be pushed horizontally by applying a force ≤ 120N at 1500mm
