In the IEC 61558-1 “steady-state condition” is not explained. Referring to other standards for the meaning
9 l$ q; ^. U0 x; T1 l+ aof “steady-state conditions”. Or “thermal stability”. The thermal stability is the change of temperature of
0 Z1 X: X- q$ }0 L7 t3 Aless than 1°C per hour. So the following questions arise:
+ E( o4 _$ |: k; F" FIs it correct to record the temperatures after one hour when temperatures didn’t change (more than 1°C/h)?1 D. |9 S8 R6 \. X
How shall an inherently short-circuit proof transformer be assessed when the above mentioned* n2 i0 u  Y5 U+ k4 @* E
requirements are fulfilled, but the transformer is damaged 6h, after reaching the steady state condition, in( n5 ^% R* R/ s  w7 l1 M2 y
