Question:

Procedure for UV Preconditioning Test, of the following standards are different:
1. Newly published IEC61646-2008 Ed.2 Thin-film terrestrial photovoltaic
+ z2 @( ~8 Y$ d- `: S' ^2 N(PV) modules – Design qualification and type Approval.
! a$ x8 ]) U- k& P% k2. Previously published IEC 61215-2005 Ed.2 Crystalline silicon terrestrial
. P1 }, B; G$ c4 Sphotovoltaic (PV) modules – Design qualification and type approval.
Can the requirements of the sub-clauses in the two standards be harmonized?
Decision:
7 `) d- B) e: C2 ^9 E* z) kWhen conducting UV preconditioning test per clause 10.10 of IEC 61215:2005,
Ed.2, use sub-clauses 10.10.2 c), 10.10.3 a) and 10.10.3 c) of IEC61646:2008,
Ed.2, but keep other sub-clauses on IEC 61215-2005 Ed.2 with no change, as
illustrated below.
