It is very common to use modular connectors (e.g. RJ-11, RJ-12, RJ-45), accessible to the
1 |7 N( L- F, A) ~users, for a variety of transmission functions, both telecommunication and data.
; Z+ A7 l0 E1 f% j* h6 VUnfortunately, RJ-11 modular connectors easily mate with other configurations of modular
connectors: RJ-12, RJ-45. This sub-clause permits marking only for connectors accessible
to Service Personnel and, on the other hand, relying on configuration as a means of
8 i$ m# l8 Z" Z& Z* a- Spreventing miss-mating is unrealistic.
How shall these connectors be tested?.

* p% U; _4 I& a/ J+ r+ Faccessible for the user, tests have to be made to verify that the SELV limits remain.
