Responsibilities: - u" @+ w! D: O8 d& J0 I( N1. Perform pre-submittals safety design review and analysis of proposed Purchase for Resale (PFR) products, product review and testing " @& n: L7 `; b+ k$ d3 b
2. Critical component drawing reviews + E/ i: H2 x! w8 w5 X+ \- R3. Assist the PFR vendors with interfacing with the Agencies, i.e. CCC, UL, TUV etc : E' J6 Q( Q$ x5 D2 S% k8 u4. Perform CEA-CEB19 standard testing and all internal Bose DCE Safety tests, i.e. DC offset testing for passive speaker testing on PFR vendor products & d1 ^& _" p$ m8 F! B5. Support CCC submittals for Bose USA designed products * F' R! S% c8 n6 _$ G
6. Handle alternate construction submittals with CCC, UL, and TUV etc 6 Q. e" _ e, t
7. Perform bi-annual follow-up inspections at the PFR vendors’ factories to verify the product has not changed ; Z; r+ s; Z2 r3 E% w* O8. Perform bi-annual CCC product verification review and testing for product Mfg in China 3 D! L& u% o# Y+ p {. P: r# B) [( q6 [
9. Support Agency follow-up inspections at PFR vendors factories and resolve any non-conformances ) W: ~5 p: z- S$ x0 e ~+ u+ Z10. Interface with the Chinese Agency CQC to help to resolve issues related to current certifications : n$ R8 L8 G2 u, K; h4 l
11. Support power supply vendors in understanding certification requirements, perform preliminary construction review, support Project team to track supply approvals./ Z; w+ Z2 [+ p# l
12. Perform Energy Efficiency testing on new PFR products/ power supplies at each DP/MP phase and create reports * x. [, Q; a- s13. Perform Internal Bose procedure Safety Awareness review on PFR products * z4 k1 E9 c- [! |$ I* @3 D6 @! q14. Product Store display design review for displays to be installed in third party retail stores and Bose stores for product demos" n9 {/ ~- y/ E
15. FINS (customer returns with possible safety issues) review for locally returned products 3 R& S1 D. H" C( Q0 n( G
16. Keep on top of changing local regulations so that the Design community can be advised of possible standard changes impacting current product and future designs, \7 ~: t7 b8 q0 K Y) m: f# ?

• Minimum Electrical Tech degree and two to five years of applicable work experience in dealing with International Safety Agencies, UL. TUV, Intertek, CQC etc.. * z0 S5 C% O) Y+ | C, A; I1 Z0 p• Must have a working knowledge of UL/IEC60065 or similar standards with testing and Safety Agency interface experience. 7 b3 x+ }) ]# k2 I) z
• Hands on familiarity with test equipment, Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc., and ability to perform all necessary safety testing preferred. 6 F- ?& }- }2 g( r! F) t• Must be proactive and able to work independently with the ability to manage and coordinate several projects in parallel. ' Z6 T1 N; s' R
• Strong written and verbal skills required. 6 B5 R9 b- W1 t5 \+ K8 @
