23.4 Appliance inlets designed forsurface mounting and having a shroud of metal, are compressed in an appropriatetest apparatus, an example of which is shown in figure 20. The spherical end ofthe jaws shall have a radius of 20 mm ± 1 mm. A force of 40 N ± 2 N shall

be applied for 60 s ± 6 s throughthe jaws to the most unfavourable point half-way up the outer

surface of the shroud, in adirection perpendicular to the axis of the shroud.

问题：40N的力是指图20中的施加砝码吗？如果是这样，那个与器具插座接触的点的力还会是40N吗？
