Question:
Should the rivets that serve as electrical as well as mechanical connections be protected against loosening
2 i! u. ^- O  i' u) U& R8 a2 Feven if they are not subject to torsion effect in normal use (e.g. rivets intended to fix ballasts).
Decision:
It was agreed that earthing connections shall be adequately locked against accidental loosening, either by:
; l" Y6 G2 b2 @- at least one screw with a spring washer, or one rivet with no circular shape;
- two rivets in case of circular shank according to sub-clause 4.11.3 of IEC 60598-1.
