+ T; O$ e4 [5 Xaccessories). The unit can be used with or without a constant water flowing (in4 S* O! f" o# u, ^1 L
accordance with the manual instructions). What should be the temperature of0 O" {) u' [: h
the water during the thermal tests?/ n; X( K  F8 i% R  `- {8 [# m! P% X
Decision: The applicable standard is IEC/EN 60335-1. The thermal tests have to be
( w- o+ M- K6 ]3 Ucarried out according to clause 11 (heating) and clause 19 (abnormal4 f: X, \; ]& q- V. a0 A, f
conditions) of IEC/EN 60335-1. If according to the manual instructions the
2 q9 E2 u1 h4 R& o* eappliance can be used without water flowing, we have to consider this situation
, p2 o0 v1 |, O& sas worst case: all tests have to be performed without water flowing. At the
! J4 J3 s, }& X/ R) ubeginning of the tests, the water shall be at room temperature (25°C). If the
% B/ y, d- U. b. d2 |) f8 lappliance is provided for use with water flowing only, the heating test (clause
+ s6 t* H- b3 x: k# t, x& C11) shall be started with water at room temperature (25°C) but flowing. For the
$ Y# _9 J) }+ U, Jabnormal conditions test (clause 19), the water flowing has to be stopped
! }8 O: I: S; i- v; vunless there is a monitoring circuit to switch off the appliance in case of water
% U  o6 W6 Y6 I. z0 [% hflow interruption. At the beginning of the test the water shall be at room8 t  V; `/ c& B. Z
temperature (25°C).
